Tee It Up At The San Diego Make-A-Wish Golf Classic
When is it even more fun to take a day off work to play hooky and hit the golf course for an afternoon of relaxation? When you could do that for a good cause!
The 25th Annual Make-A-Wish Golf Classic will tee off at Maderas Golf Club – one of San Diego’s top-rated golf courses – on Monday, Oct. 21. The tournament starts with a barbecue lunch at 11 a.m. and a 12:30 shotgun start. The day concludes with a cocktail hour from 5-6 p.m., followed by dinner, awards banquet, live and silent auctions, and a raffle. The highlight of the event will be participating in a special live wish experience with a local Make-A-Wish wish child.
Golf To Grant Wishes
The Make-A-Wish Golf Classic is held at Maderas Golf Club (17750 Old Coach Road in Poway), in the hills north of San Diego. The golf course is designed by Johnny Miller and Robert Muir Graves, and participants in the tournament will be sure to enjoy an amazing day of golf on this wonderful course while helping to raise funds to grant local wishes.
Make-A-Wish San Diego has granted more than 3,000 wishes since 1983, and children with critical illnesses who need wishes the most are the focus of this event. You can help these wishes come true by becoming a sponsor or by signing up to golf in this great event.
There are five different sponsorship levels to help support this event: 19th Hole Sponsor ($7,500), Lunch Sponsor ($5,000), Tee Prize Sponsor ($3,500), Cocktail Reception Sponsor ($3,500), Beverage Station Sponsor ($2,500), “Eagle Tee” Sponsor ($2,100) and Tee Sponsor ($500). Signing up a foursome to golf in the event is $1,600, or $400 for an individual signup.
