Two Make-A-Wish Events To Benefit Central And Northern Florida Kids This March
This March, there are two great events that involve walking and staying active, but they also help to grant the wishes of Orlando-area kids at the same time! These events are not only good for your health, but they are also fun and contribute to an amazing cause. When you participate in the Walk For Wishes event on March 12 or the Beef ‘O’ Brady’s St. Patty’s Day Dash & Bash 5K on March 14, you can help to benefit Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida.
Walk For Wishes At Lake Eola Park
Enjoy the gorgeous Florida sunshine and warmth this March 12 when you participate in the Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida Walk For Wishes event. This 2-mile walk starts at Lake Eola Park in Downtown Orlando and includes a beautiful stroll around Lake Eola. This is the 8th Annual Orlando Walk For Wishes event, and you won’t want to miss out!
This year’s walk will be held from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Register for $20 when you register before the month of March, or $25 if you wait. Children under the age of 9 walk for free. Everyone is encouraged to fundraise for Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida, which will help to grant the wishes of kids in Orlando, Saint Petersburg, Tampa, Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Gainesville and Lakeland. Participants will be rewarded when they raise more than $100.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available. If you’d like to become a sponsor, choose from a Bronze Sponsor ($1,000), Silver Sponsor ($2,500), Gold Sponsor ($5,000), Platinum Sponsor ($10,000), or a Presenting Sponsor ($15,000).

Granting Wishes Is Fun And Rewarding
Who knew that granting wishes could be so fun and rewarding? However, if you cannot attend either of these events and will miss out on the fun, you can still help Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida to grant wishes for local children. Donate a car, truck, boat, or motorcycle to Wheels For Wishes, a car donation program benefiting Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida. When you donate a car, you are extending the lifecycle of your vehicle by allowing it to be recycled and reused. Plus, earned proceeds from your vehicle benefit Make-A-Wish and you also receive a tax deduction.

Enjoy Running? Participate In The Apopka 5K Run
If running is more your style, then the Beef ‘O’ Brady’s St. Patty’s Day Dash & Bash 5K is the perfect event for you. Taking place on March 14, this event also benefits Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida and will be held at Beef ‘O’ Brady’s in Apopka (1410 Rock Springs Road). Packet pickup will be available at Beef ‘O’ Brady’s on March 12 and March 13. On the day of the event, all participants will receive a T-shirt and medal with water, fresh fruit, and bagels. Green beer will be provided after the run. Post-race activities also include an awards ceremony, prize drawings, silent auction, kids’ activities (including a quarter-mile Fun Run, games, bounce house, and face painting), live music, vendor booths, and food.
