North Carolina Swings For Wishes
Make-A-Wish North Carolina is driving two fun-filled golf events to Charlotte. The Make-A-Wish Golf Classic at Providence Country Club and Fairways Fore Wishes at Cedarwood Country Club are two golf events that go toward making dreams come true for local children with critical illnesses. You get to play a great round of golf, enjoy the festivities before and after, and help kids live their dreams in the process. Make-A-Wish Golf Classic
On May 8, swing on by Providence Country Club (6001 Providence Country Club Dr., Charlotte, N.C. 28277) for 18 holes of golf, a family barbecue and an awards presentation! Throughout the years, the Make-A-Wish Golf Classic has benefited Make-A-Wish Central and Western North Carolina enough to make 52 wishes come true.
You can help make even more dreams come true and it couldn’t be easier: all you have to do is golf and have fun with your family. Turn your usual weekend routine into a wish-granting opportunity. Enjoy the beautiful course at Providence Country Club, the sweet taste of barbecue and the chance to win an award during this day of fun! For one golfer, registration costs $225. If you have two or four, it costs $450 or $900 respectively.
Check-in starts at 10 a.m., and the shotgun start begins at 11:30. When the golf classic is all wrapped up, the dinner and awards ceremony begin at 5:30 p.m. Register today, and help Make-A-Wish reach their goal of $100,000 for this fun-filled golf event!
Fairways Fore Wishes
Over the past three years, Fairways Fore Wishes has raised enough money to help grant about 17 wishes. This year alone, the goal is to raise $75,000 to make dreams come true for local kids with critical illnesses!
On May 15, Fairways Fore Wishes will take place at the beautiful Cedarwood Country Club (4100 Pineville-Matthews Road, Charlotte, N.C.). At 12:30, the tournament begins with an exciting shotgun start. As soon as the last ball goes into the 18th hole, all the golfers and their significant others are welcome to partake in delicious hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction and a cash bar.
Registration costs $200 for individuals, $800 for a foursome and $1,000 for an elite foursome (comes with 8 mulligans and 20 raffle tickets).
