Make-A-Wish Iowa Turns On The Festive Holiday Lights
Make-A-Wish is bringing the lights to Iowa with two awesome events this November. Tour De Lights and Jolly Holiday Lights are two chances to have fantastic family fun while helping to make dreams come true for local children facing critical illnesses. Whether you prefer running, biking or simply spectating through magical light displays, Make-A-Wish Iowa has the perfect opportunities for you and your family to have a magnificent night! Tour De Lights Event Details
On Nov. 18, come out to Adventureland Park (3300 Adventureland Drive, Altoona, Ia.) for Tour De Lights! This family fun event has a Tour De France spin on seeing your favorite holiday decorations. Whether you want to exercise by biking, running, walking or even skating, you and your loved ones will get to preview Adventureland before it opens to the public!
To make the most dreams come true as possible, invite your friends, family, co-workers and neighbors to this unique event. Individuals who raise over $100 get a free season pass to Adventureland Park! Of course, your amazing fundraising efforts also benefit the cause of Make-A-Wish Iowa.
At 3:30 p.m., check in starts at Spectators. Then, the Tour De Lights begins at 5:30 and goes all the way until the park closes at 8. Registration is only $15 per person! It’s well worth it to make dreams come true and experience the lights in a way you never have before!
Jolly Holiday Lights
Between Nov. 24 and Dec. 30 (besides Dec. 24 and 25), come out to Adventureland (3300 Adventureland Drive, Altoona, Ia.) for Jolly Holiday Lights! This awesome event is a 2.5 mile drive through over 100 fascinating light displays. Gather your loved ones in your car and drive through some of the best holiday decorations you will see! Because 100 percent of the admission fees go toward Make-A-Wish Iowa, over 700 wishes have already been granted through this event. So, while you are having fun, you also get to help make dreams come true!
Admission pricing is just $20 per car, $40 per limo and $70 per charter bus! You can get tickets online or at Hy-Vee, Casey’s and the Make-A-Wish Iowa office. This event starts at 5:30 p.m. and goes until the park reaches capacity.
Make More Dreams Come True This Holiday Season
If you are on a mission to help every Iowa kid waiting for a wish-come-true, Wheels For Wishes has an amazing opportunity for you. All you need is an unwanted car! Wheels For Wishes accepts vehicle donations on behalf of Make-A-Wish, and the proceeds go toward making dreams come true! It can be hard to attend events sometimes or to donate money, but it can be easy to let go of an unwanted car!
Wheels For Wishes makes car donation an awesome experience for you too. We come to you with free towing and pick up. Plus, because Wheels For Wishes is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, you receive a 100 percent tax-deductible receipt with your donation.
