Own A Piece Of Green Day History
Green Day is known for their rebel postured music, their high-energy performances, and now as a huge contributor to Make-A-Wish kids! In 2024 Green Day announced a sweepstakes to win their 1968 Mercury Monterey Convertible. The very same convertible that starred in the unforgettable "Holiday" and "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" music videos. Green Day wanted to raise as much funding for Make-A-Wish kids as possible during their "Savior Tour", so they agreed to raffle off the vehicle and donate the proceeds.
In an incredible turn of events, an vehicle auction house won the raffle and is again auctioning off the 1968 Mercury Monterey Convertible and donating its proceeds to Wheels For Wishes, benefiting Make-A-Wish kids!
The auction will take place on March 27, 2025 at
Treasure Coast Auto Auction located at 2900 Industrial 33rd St. Fort Pierce Florida 34946.
The History Of Green Day & Wheels For Wishes
Rock & Roll Hall of inductees Green Day donated their original tour bus, the Bookmobile, and the car featured in the "Holiday" and "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" music videos to Wheels For Wishes earlier in 2017. These donations will benefit Make-A-Wish when they are sold at a charity auction.
The Green Day Bookmobile and car will be auctioned to benefit Make-A-Wish. Check back often for updates on when and where this once-in-a-lifetime charity auction will be held.

The Bookmobile's Journey
1993: Drummer Tre Cool's father customizes an old bookmobile for Green Day to use as a tour bus.
1993-94: The bus, which becomes known to fans at The Bookmobile, transports Green Day around the country on their first year of touring. During this time, the band was performing songs from what is still one of their most popular albums, Dookie, at festivals and concerts around the U.S.
1994: The Bookmobile is retired. It sits unused in a field for more than two decades.
Early 2017: Green Day donates The Bookmobile to Wheels For Wishes benefiting Make-A-Wish. The car that appeared in the music videos for "Holiday" and "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" is donated as well.
July 2017: West Coast Customs revamps the exterior of the Bookmobile, restoring it back to its original appearance. The interior is left largely untouched, appearing exactly as it was 23 years ago.
August 2017: The Bookmobile and car arrive in Cleveland, where they are displayed for a short time at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
August 21, 2017: Green Day comes to Cleveland, where they are reunited with the Bookmobile and car for the first time in more than two decades. Afterwards, Green Day performs one of their best live shows to date at Blossom.
