Check Out These Three Fun Events To Grant Wishes In Illinois
In April and May, it’s easy to help Make-A-Wish Illinois grant wishes for local kids. If you do some spring cleaning and decide you’d like to make a car donation to Wheels For Wishes, benefiting Make-A-Wish Illinois, or choose to participate in a local fundraising event, you can make a difference in Illinois! Kids in Chicago, Joliet, Rockford, East Saint Louis, and Aurora will benefit from your generosity.
Bags To Wishes Provides An Evening Of Fun
Head on over to the Mini Cooper of Chicago on April 26 and enjoy Bags To Wishes, which will feature an organized corn hole tournament, long toss, silent auction, and raffle. The silent auction offers great gift packages for an overnight hotel stay, dining certificates, and tickets to sporting events. Plus, all earned proceeds from the event benefit Make-A-Wish Illinois!
The fun all begins at 7 p.m. on April 26 and is expected to end at 10 p.m. Purchase your tickets for $55, which includes 3 hours of food, drinks, and participation in the tournament, or attend for the delicious food and cheer your friends on for $40.

Make A Million Wishes Come True
Also on April 26 is the A Million Dreams event, a masquerade ball benefiting Make-A-Wish Illinois. A Million Dreams hopes to earn $10,000 to grant wishes for Illinois kids, and you can help by purchasing your tickets for $30 at the door. Sponsorship opportunities are available and will help to grant wishes for kids in your community.
This glamorous event will take place at Park Place (406 West Woodstock Street in Crystal Lake) and formal attire is required. A mask is a must! The masquerade will begin at 6 p.m. and is sure to be a huge hit for all who attend. For more information, please email the event organizers.
Walk To Grant Wishes In Edwardsville
On May 17, get out your running shoes and your favorite costume and head to the Costumed 5K Walk & Run in Edwardsville. If you don’t live in Edwardsville, Make-A-Wish Illinois will have plenty of other opportunities to walk for wishes this summer. If you do live near Edwardsville, join in on the fun and walk for wishes at the Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville.
This fantastic Walk For Wishes event features a 5K race and one-mile family fun run and lets kids and adults dress up as their favorite characters. If a child wishes to be a princess or a superhero, they are encouraged to show their spirit by wearing their favorite costumes!
All earned proceeds from the event benefit Make-A-Wish Illinois, which makes the event a perfect opportunity to have an amazing time while helping make wishes come true! Walking and running fees are inexpensive but have a tremendous impact in your community. They help to grant wishes for local kids and see that every child’s wish is granted. Fundraising is also encouraged, so get registered today! Adults walk for $20 and run for $25, where children under 18 can walk or run for $10. Students ages 18-22 can walk or run for $15. Wish families and wish kids walk for free!
This Walk For Wishes event will begin with registration at 7:30 a.m., with the race starting at 9 a.m. The event is expected to end by 11 a.m., so the whole day is open to you and your family if you have other plans.
