This September, the Ferrari Owners Group (FOG) is delivering two fun charity events to San Francisco. Both the FOG Charity Gala 2016 and the FOG Rally 2016 will greatly benefit Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area. These important funds go toward granting wishes to local children with critical illnesses. These brilliant events intend to showcase the impact that the FOG has on Make-A-Wish and local wish kids.
Step out Sept. 18 full of joy knowing you are making wishes come true for wish kids in Metro New York. Walk For Wishes is one event that is fun if you go by yourself or with a large group. It will take place at Eisenhower Park, in New York. The walk's total length is a 5k; if you would like to bring your kids, it won’t be too far for them to walk.
If you’re looking for a fun night out this July, then what could be more fantastic than wine and wishes? You can help to make wishes come true for children battling critical illnesses simply by attending a fun evening out at Make-A-Wish San Diego’s Wine and Wishes event on Sunday, July 26. Guests will enjoy a premier wine and food tasting event, all to grant wishes for kids living in areas like San Diego, Escondido, Carlsbad, Chula Vista and Oceanside.
Last year, Make-A-Wish Connecticut's "Wishes On Wheels" raised more than $90,000 to grant more than 10 wishes to children with critical illnesses. This year's event, on Sunday, Sept. 14, will aim to do just as well.
The Truck Convoy, now in its 15th year, has become an annual tradition that can't be missed. Many of the truck drivers volunteer to have wish families ride along with them during the convoy. The event starts at 9 a.m. at Rentschler Field in East Hartford. The trucks pull away from the stadium at 9:30 a.m. Make-A-Wish families are invited to join the Truck Convoy and enjoy activities, prize drawings and a carnival-like atmosphere.
The Truck Convoy is done at 10:30 a.m., but that's when more fun starts. There will be entertainment from Done Mama Proud and branded, a trophy ceremony and a visit from "Thrasher" the monster truck. There will be a Harley-Davidson raffle to wrap up the event at 3 p.m.
