Brave The Bay In San Francisco
Brave the Bay is the perfect fun and active holiday event for the whole family. San Francisco residents of all ages will have an opportunity for both fun and giving. Brave the Bay is a charity event benefiting Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area. Your family’s day of running, plunging and pulling will help to make dreams come true for local kids with critical illnesses.
Santa Walk And Fun Run
The Santa Walk and Fun Run is a family 5k walk and/or run. The fun race starts at Aquatic Park and loops right back there for the finish. Come to Aquatic Park at 9 a.m. for the start of the race with your $25 per person, and start running!
Santa Plunge In The Bay
The Santa Plunge in the Bay is an opportunity to find out how freezing the San Francisco Bay can be! Those who are looking to brave the bay will be provided hot coco, towels and showers. You and your family can either inch your way into the bay slow and steady or jump in all at once! For just $25 per person, come to the bay ready to plunge at 11:15 a.m.
Santa Cable Car Pull
To participate in the ultimate challenge of the Santa Cable Car Pull race, you need to gather your grittiest group of six. Pulling a cable car on a long rope, your group will match up against another group of six to see who can pull it 200 feet first! For just $150 for your whole team, you can see which team can make it around town faster from 9-11 a.m.
Santa’s Triathlon
If just one of these fun, freezing, competitive events isn’t enough, you can try your hand at all three. Santa’s Triathlon is $60 per person and $360 for your whole team. Even if you don’t have a team, they will find you one! The best part: every triathlon participant will receive a medal for their success!

You can simply enjoy the event from the sidelines, and then head over to the Buena Vista Café for Cops and Coffee from 9 a.m.-3p.m. 100 percent of the proceeds for your relaxing meal served by San Francisco’s finest go toward Make-A-Wish.
