Walk For Wishes To Benefit Orange County And Inland Empire Kids

March 6, 2015

What's better than taking a long walk in the beautiful spring air? When you can raise money for a worthy cause while doing it! Walk For Wishes benefiting Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire takes place on two different weekends.

The Walk For Wishes Inland Empire is Saturday, April 11, at Fairmount Park in Riverside, and Walk For Wishes Orange County is Saturday, April 18, at Orange County Great Park in Irvine. All of the proceeds from the walks will benefit Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire. The money raised will help pay for the wishes of children with critical illnesses.

Make A Difference In Your Community

Participating in a Walk For Wishes allows you to personally make a difference in the community in which you live. Registration for the Riverside walk is $25 until Friday, April 3, $35 until noon April 10, and $40 at the day of the event. For the Orange County Great Park walk, registration is $25 until Friday, April 10, $35 until noon April 17, and $40 at the day of the event. The registration for each walk includes a t-shirt and your event-day pass, which gives you access to all of the activities, although if you register on-site, you aren't guaranteed a t-shirt.

There are also special prize packages that you can be eligible to win depending on how much money you raise as an individual or a team. Check out the Riverside or Orange County event pages for more information.

Each of the 2-mile walks will feature a world of wishes, giving participants the opportunity to share in the magic of the four types of wishes: to be, to have, to go and to meet. Activities for each event begin with registration and the opening of festivities at 7:30 a.m. The walk begins at 8:30 and the festivities conclude at noon.
