Big Trucks And Golf, What More Do You Need?
There are three great events to get you out enjoying the fall air in Connecticut. If you've been meaning to get to any of these activities before the warm weather runs out, you have the opportunity to do so all while helping Make-A-Wish Connecticut. The annual Wishes On Wheels Truck Convoy, Russell Hall Open, and Randy Ewen Memorial Golf Tournament are all going on this September. 18th Annual Wishes On Wheels Truck Convoy
On Sept. 10, come out to Rentschler Field in East Hartford to be a part of the event that has raised more than $1 million for Make-A-Wish. The event kicks off at 9 a.m. with truck drivers and Wish Families rolling through the East Hartford area in big rigs and other trucks. Wishes on Wheels is an exciting day for Wish Kids who love riding along in the big trucks. After the convoy, Wish Families can partake in activities and prize raffles in a carnival atmosphere.
Annual Randy Ewen Memorial Golf Tournament
On Sept. 15, the Randy Ewen Memorial Golf Tournament is a great opportunity help raise funds for Make-A-Wish Connecticut. Each year, the tournament adopts the wish of a child through Make-A-Wish Connecticut. You can help make that possible by golfing in the tournament or making a donation to the event.
The tournament takes place at the Pequabuck Golf Course in Terryville. Registration kicks off at 7:30 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 9 a.m. At $135 per person, registration includes 18 holes of golf, cart fees, as well as lunch and dinner. Awards will be given for first, second, and third place in the tournament. Prizes will also be awarded to the longest drive and the closest to the pin. The day will conclude with raffles and dinner after the tournament. Register today to become a part of this great event!
Russell Hall Open
If you're in the Middlefield area on Sept. 15, don't miss the Russell Hall Open benefiting Make-A-Wish Connecticut. This event takes place at the Lyman Orchards Golf Club at 10:30 a.m. The Russell Hall Open has raised more than $200,000 for Make-A-Wish, and you can help make this year's event a success by registering to play.
